Recent research efforts of GNSS&Meteo Working Group (WUELS) and SPACE Research Centre (RMIT University) led to development of new GNSS tomography model – TOMO2. The equation system of new model is: based on the Robust Kalman filtering, unconstrained (no inter-voxel constraints) and inverted using Truncated Singular Value Decomposition. Results show that the retrieved refractivity field is sensitive to local variation of troposphere conditions yet overall process accuracy is in line with numerical weather prediction model outputs. The paper is available for discussion until 19th of December this year and you are most welcome to contribute (fully citable) comments. The model works operationally on the WUELS server in the Near-Real Time regime. Copy of the new TOMO2 model is available for download upon signature of license agreement.
